Xavier Delgadillo

Xavier Delgadillo, Doctor Pa.D EBSQ in Coloproctology, was born in La Paz, Bolivia (South America), his family descents from Basque-Spanish origins. He graduated at the American Institute in Cochabamba and from there he continued his studies at the Major University of St. Simon. In 1992, he obtained the medical surgeon diploma with the second highest honor of the University.

He continued his training in general and abdominal surgery at the University Clinics of St Luc and at the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium and achieved his Surgical Degree in 1999.

Additional extensive training in colo-anal surgery was settled with obtaining the certificate of Proctologist at the University Hospital of Geneva (HUG) in Switzerland.

Later, he obtained the European Board in Coloproctology Certificate, issued by the European Union of Specialized Surgeons and the European Society of Coloproctology.

Several years of experience as a University Assistant Professor are to be mentioned: (Brussels, Charleroi, Geneva, La Chaux-de-Fonds). Later he was appointed as consultant physician at the proctology Hospital Foundation in Le Locle (Switzerland), he continued his surgical career at the Clinic Montbrillant in La Chaux- de- Fonds.

Several oral presentations at international conferences in medicine, surgery, laparoscopy, several video creations on new techniques and a host of articles published both in international and local medical newspapers, all at disposal for his colleagues, patients and assistants, to consult on this site or on the internet.

Author of several articles (referred in Pub-Med and available in MedLine), he exercises with passion surgery and coloproctology.
